Projects
Avli has working groups on projects, as well as for coordinational purposes such as growth, events, and communications. Some projects are shorter and more focused on outputs; others span a longer time and produce fewer outputs. Any (potential!) member can propose and lead projects on their issue of interest with the support of the rest of the organization. Have an idea for a project? Let us know!
Current Projects
Project Watchdog (Lead: Myrto Skouroupathi)
Project Watchdog is creating a database of promises made by the government in the south of Cyprus with regards to climate change, and what the progress on those promises have been. We strive to communicate this data in an approachable and easy to understand way (check out the graphs and glossary we compiled), in addition to providing public consultations.

Environmental Peace Camps
This project is sponsoring the creation of camps to build the Avli community and build our movement. Camps will be focused on building relationships with attendees who are interested in our movement for climate justice and peace, with the ancillary goal of providing political education and planning future involvement.
Past Projects
The Breakfast Club
A regular meeting at Paphos gate by Avli members and allies to pressure the administrations of Cyprus to re-open the checkpoints that they closed under the guise of Covid restrictions.
